Total control and confidence in your home vocal recordings 🎙

You love to sing, but the idea of recording feels intimidating. The software is daunting, the gear is a mystery, and the thought of listening back to your raw takes makes you cringe.

You could hire an engineer to track or "fix up" your vocals, but this gets expensive, and forces you to sacrifice flexibility and absolute control.

The solution is learning to become a pro at recording your own vocals from home.

In today's era, music technology has become increasingly budget-friendly and within reach, enabling individuals to establish a home studio and manage their vocal productions completely.

Simply having the proper equipment, a properly outfitted space, and proficiency in operating your hardware and software is all that is required.

Your songs deserve professional sounding vocals, and I'm here to show you how to master the skills needed to make it happen.

🚫 Myth #1: I can't produce professional sounding vocals without expensive gear.

✅ Reality: Maybe this was true 20 years ago, but with great technology getting more affordable, you can absolutely have a great setup without breaking the bank.

Today's entry-level microphones, interfaces, and preamps are incredibly strong contenders against those found in multi-million dollar recording studios.

Plus, plugin versions of effects processors such as EQs, compressors, and reverbs have gotten to the point where they sound nearly indistinguishable from their hardware counterparts.

🚫 Myth #2: I don't have the time to learn everything about audio production to do this myself.

✅ Reality: Most recording hardware and software have hundreds of features that aren't necessary for every single user. As a home recording vocalist, learning little more than a few basics of the software will enable you to be completely self-sufficient in your recordings.

Luckily, many of the useful features that we need to make great vocal recordings can be automated and made into templates you can use every time you open your DAW. That means less time clicking, and more time singing.

🚫 Myth #3: A professional engineer is going to be better at editing my vocals than me.

✅ Reality: Trusting an engineer that didn't record your vocals could mean that your recordings get edited in a way that you don't like. It's the worst thing when you get a mix back and the pitch correction was underdone or overdone, or the the breaths are more overbearing than you want, or vocal stacks sound completely disjointed.

The fact is that you know better than anyone what sounds good to you. If you can master the art of getting the sound you want out of your edits, that means less guesswork from a mixing engineer, fewer mix revisions, and a more streamlined approach to creating more amazing sounding songs.

Everything I teach in this course can be replicated in every modern DAW, and using a vast array of built-in applications as well as third-party plugins. If you have a DAW that you enjoy using, and have plugins such as Melodyne, Autotune, VocAlign, Flex Pitch, VariAudio, or any other number of vocal editing solutions, you will be able to follow along.

I don’t have a home studio, and don’t want to spend thousands of dollars on recording gear. Will this course still help me?

Absolutely! One of the first things we go over is how to find affordable gear, which is now more possible than ever with entry-level music technology being both so widely accessible and high quality.

Does it matter if I don’t produce my own instrumentals?

This masterclass is perfect for the artist that produces their own tracks from start to finish, or collaborates with other musicians and producers for their instrumentals. Whether you work on your own or with a team, this course will empower you to be an unstoppable vocal producer. Additionally, this course demonstrates how to export and deliver your vocals to a producer/engineer so they can mix your perfectly recorded and edited performances.
